An ‘Open Project’ refers to a climbing route or boulder problem that has been identified, marked and potentially attempted, but not yet successfully completed (‘sent’) by any climber. These projects often represent significant challenges due to their difficulty and are open to any climber who wants to try and be the first to complete the route. Open projects are shared within the climbing community, and collaboratively approached with the aim of achieving the first ascent together. 

Open Project is a rock climbing company grounded in community, inclusivity and exploration - one that’s accountable and stands by an ethos of quality and environmentalism.

We aspire to support Australia’s climbing culture through the combination of shared climbing experiences and tailored products. We know that culture sits with people and we’re committed to connecting with our climbing community.
